On May 15, 2020, Pangshi Chemical held its first business‑sharing session of the year. Different from previous years, a PK mechanism was introduced. Ten lecturers were divided into two teams for one‑on‑one competitions over five rounds. Individual and team bonuses would be awarded to winning lecturers and the champion team respectively. Following registration and preliminary screening, the roster of lecturers and team members was announced. The two teams were named the “Five‑Blessings Team” and the “Riding‑the‑Winds‑and‑Waves Team”, symbolizing blessings and prosperity for Pangshi Chemical as it forges ahead fearlessly.

The two speakers for this session were Yu Zipeng, captain of the Five‑Blessings Team, and Shi Ying, captain of the Riding‑the‑Winds‑and‑Waves Team. They delivered presentations on risk mitigation amid the pandemic and Spanish conversation skills respectively. Diverse themes and styles brought the audience a wonderful audio‑visual experience.

Yu Zipeng made a comprehensive analysis of risks and challenges amid the pandemic from perspectives including market conditions, logistics, product prices and client psychology. He adopted case studies, videos and other presentation forms. Drawing on personal experience, he put forward corresponding suggestions and countermeasures in a calm and poised delivery style.

Shifting to her field of expertise, Shi Ying talked about Spanish pronunciation, opening remarks, conversation topics with clients and quick Spanish learning tips. She also recommended a number of Spanish‑learning books at the end of her speech in a witty and humorous style.

Upon completion of the two presentations, participants voted for the winning lecturer based on content, personal style and presentation skills. Thanks to her original content and lively delivery, Shi Ying, captain of the Riding‑the‑Winds‑and‑Waves Team, claimed victory for this round. The first business‑sharing session came to a successful close. We look forward to the next brilliant performance from both teams.
