On August 26, 2020, Pangshi Chemical held its third business‑sharing session. The speakers were Dong Chaoyang from the Riding‑the‑Winds‑and‑Waves Team and Gou Hongling from the Five‑Blessings Team. The Riding‑the‑Winds‑and‑Waves Team had won the previous two PK rounds. The result of this round would directly determine whether the Five‑Blessings Team still stood a chance to stage a comeback, making it a crucial match point round.

First to present was Gou Hongling from the Five‑Blessings Team. She had demonstrated excellent information‑sorting and presentation skills in last year’s sharing sessions. Her topic this time was the impact of personal mindset on business performance. Unlike domestic trade, foreign‑trade sales are constantly subject to diverse challenges. Product conditions, client status, transportation issues and international situations can exert huge impacts on orders. Internal department restructuring and corporate policy changes may also affect salespeople’s state of mind. Therefore, a sound mindset is an essential quality for every outstanding salesperson. Drawing from her personal experience, Gou Hongling illustrated how mindset influences business work. She compared the different mental attitudes of seasoned and new salespeople when facing difficulties, and carefully compiled practical tips for mindset adjustment. Over the past two years, she has achieved rapid performance growth by keeping her mindset in check.

The second speaker was Dong Chaoyang from the Riding‑the‑Winds‑and‑Waves Team. He joined the company in the second half of 2018 and has grown rapidly from a foreign‑trade novice into a competent salesperson within less than two years. His sharing topic was Stay True to Your Original Aspiration. He condensed two years of foreign‑trade experience into a more‑than‑20‑page PPT for all participants. Dong Chaoyang elaborated on four dimensions: mindset adjustment and self‑cultivation, development of good foreign‑trade working habits, cultivation of innovative thinking, and team collaboration. He cited real‑world cases from well‑known enterprises such as Xiaomi and Alibaba, and adopted diversified presentation forms including news clips and videos, delivering a rich and wonderful speech.

This PK round featured fierce competition between two strong contenders. Pang Bin, General Manager of Pangshi Chemical, and Xu Dingping, Manager of Business Division Two, acted as special guests to campaign for their preferred speakers. After close competition, Gou Hongling from the Five‑Blessings Team narrowly beat Dong Chaoyang from the Riding‑the‑Winds‑and‑Waves Team by one vote, winning one round back for her team.

Up to this session, the PK score stood at 2‑1 in favor of the Riding‑the‑Winds‑and‑Waves Team. The sharing session serves not only as an outlet and activity format, but also a valuable platform. Every sharing represents a review of one’s knowledge, thoughts and observations. We look forward to more inspiring speeches from future lecturers.
