On July 9, Pangshi Chemical held its 2020 mid‑year summary meeting. The three‑hour meeting was attended by all employees.
The meeting consisted mainly of summary reports by department managers, introduction of new colleagues, award ceremony, and speech by General Manager Pang Bin. First of all, managers from the five export business divisions, namely Ge Chongliang (Business Division One), Xu Dingping (Business Division Two), Tu Chao (Business Division Three), Liu Yihe (Business Division Four) and Zuo Yunlong (Business Division Five), successively reviewed sales performance for the first half of the year and made comparisons against the same period of 2019. Despite the impact of the pandemic, overall sales maintained steady growth. Nevertheless, department managers did not rest on their achievements. Each of them carefully analyzed current status and existing problems within their departments and put forward thorough solutions. Afterwards, Yuan Jiang, Manager of the Purchasing Department, summarized product sales in the first half‑year with comprehensive analysis covering product categories, volumes and prices, and laid out plans and targets for the second half of the year. Wang Dongjuan, Manager of the Finance Department, also elaborated on priorities and precautions for financial work in the second half‑year. In the subsequent session, new colleagues were introduced. Witnessed by all staff, awards were presented for activities including the first‑half article contest and business‑sharing PK competition.
Amid warm applause from all participants, General Manager Pang Bin delivered his speech. He first recognized achievements made by the team in the first half‑year. He pointed out that amid these special times, all teams must consolidate fundamentals and deliver solid work, and scale up investment in new‑talent development and team building. With real‑life examples, he stressed that every employee should break mental shackles and conventional mindsets to develop an entrepreneurial way of thinking.
The meeting drew to a successful close upon the conclusion of General Manager Pang’s address. The extraordinary first half of 2020 has witnessed many historic events, some of which were tough. Yet regardless of adversities, all Pangshi people remain hopeful. In the second half of 2020, let us create history and miracles for Pangshi with our own hands.
