The year 2020 was one of growth and brilliant achievements for Pangshi Chemical. Accomplishments and honors were earned through hard‑won efforts. To review the work of 2020, reflect on the past and look ahead to embrace 2021 better, the company held its 18th‑anniversary year‑end summary conference at Hilton Chengdu Hotel on January 13, 2021.

The year‑end conference consisted of several sessions: annual reports by department managers, award ceremony, general manager’s address, and annual‑gala dinner.

It opened with annual reports delivered by department managers, including Ge Chongliang of Business Division One, Xu Dingping of Business Division Two, Tu Chao of Business Division Three, Liu Yihe of Business Division Four, Zuo Yunlong of Business Division Five, Guo Zhen of Business Division Six, Yuan Jiang from the Purchasing Department, Wang Dongjuan from the Finance Department and Zhang Ying from the Administration Department. Focusing on reflection and innovation, each manager summed up achievements in 2020 and laid out plans for 2021.

Next came the award‑giving ceremony. Awards for Outstanding Departments and Outstanding Teams of 2020 were presented first. Business Division Three won the Outstanding Business Division Award for Profitability (highest return on net assets); Business Division One received the award for Growth Capacity (talent development, new clients and new products); Business Division Five was honored for Operational Capability (excellent management and most completions of the “Three‑Thousand Goals”). The team led by Yi Chengzhang and Dong Chaoyang was named the Outstanding Team of 2020. General Manager Pang Bin presented trophies and bonuses to the winning departments and teams. In addition, the reward for the champion team of the 2020 Business‑Sharing PK Contest was awarded on‑site to the Five‑Blessings Team. Yu Zipeng, the team captain, came onstage to accept the prize.

At Pangshi Chemical, a group of employees have devoted over ten years to their posts with undiminished passion and dedication to work. Through ten years of changing seasons, the company launched the special “Ten‑Year Meritorious Service Award” in 2020, recognizing these long‑time colleagues with trophies and commemorative gold rings. The 2020 recipients were Ge Chongliang of Business Division One (joined in 2009), Wu Qingqing from the Finance Department (joined in 2010), and Li Jianhua from the Administration Department (joined in 2005). The “Ten‑Year Meritorious Service Award” will continue in the years ahead. It is expected that more long‑serving employees will pursue their dreams together with the company.

In 2021, the company revised its policy to convert qualified outstanding salespersons into partners, encouraging teams and individuals to grow alongside the enterprise. At this year‑end conference, General Manager Pang Bin issued partner certificates to newly‑admitted partners. Three employees were granted Intermediate‑Partner status: Ge Chongliang (Business Division One), Xu Dingping (Business Division Two) and Tu Chao (Business Division Three). Eight employees were awarded Junior‑Partner status: Qu Yanni and Sun Yuan (Business Division One), Zhu Beilei and Ren Wang (Business Division Two), Yi Chengzhang and Shi Ying (Business Division Three), Liu Yihe (Business Division Four), and Zuo Yunlong (Business Division Five).

The final session of the formal meeting was the address by General Manager Pang Bin. He recognized the achievements made by all departments in 2020. Drawing on real‑world cases, he illustrated the meaning of iteration: growth derived from every undertaking, whether successful or not. For the new year, the company would deepen its efforts in team building, talent recruitment, risk control and industrial supply‑chain management. He emphasized continuous self‑improvement, respect for the market and staying alert amid favorable conditions.

With the formal sessions concluded, the gala dinner began. Colleagues of Pangshi are versatile and talented. Each department prepared wonderful performances including songs, dances and Spanish recitations. Besides shows, fun games formed an essential part of the gala: a competitive tug‑of‑war testing physical strength, a “Draw and Guess” game for teamwork, and other entertaining group challenges, bringing great joy to everyone. The highly anticipated lucky draw offered a rich variety of prizes, wrapping up in a cheerful and exciting atmosphere.
